What’s for a special treat? + Biggest Loser update

February 3rd, 2010 · 11 Comments

This is what I get asked pretty much every night after dinner by my kids! When they were younger, it would be yogurt, or a piece of fruit, but somehow over the years, its changed to cookies, or a little ice cream, etc… I purposely didn’t get any dessert type thing at the store because I got 8 bananas on the dollar rack at my store for only .49 cents (they are super ripe) and I was going to make muffins/bread with that, and I was going to make cookies, but that never happened. So what to do?

I rummaged around my fridge, and then it hit me… Won ton bites! I made these actually about a year ago for a Nutella recipe contest (never heard anything from that!) and these couldn’t be easier.

Ingredients:

won ton wrappers
nutella
banana

Take a square of the won ton wrapper, used less than a teaspoon of Nutella, and added a slice of banana. Fold it in half and wet the edges with water so that it sticks together.

I sprayed a small skillet with Pam Cooking Spray. Add the won ton bites and cook for a few minutes on each side until browned.

Drizzle with chocolate sauce and if I had it, I would have sprinkled powdered sugar all over it.

My only bit of advice is that the insides are HOT! I burned my tongue by not waiting for them to cool!

For all 3 won ton bites, its only 175 calories! Enjoy!!

My kids were definitely happy!!

Biggest Loser Update

I don’t know if anyone else thought this, but I was a little confused in the beginning of last nights show. I had no idea what surgery they were talking about for Miggy. I can’t believe that she had surgery and the next day she’s walking 13 miles, that can’t be good!

I thought Michael still did awesome even though he had immunity. And of course, I felt horrible for John that he got sent home, I was hoping that someone from the red team would be going home, but no.

But, at least John could go home and be with his twin brother!! I think together they will motivate each other to stay the course.

Who are your favorites this season??

Oooo That sounds yummy! Could you make these with strawberries and banana inside? The banana and chocolate combination, made me think of a banana split, and now I’m thinking of adding whipped cream and nuts on top! I’m going overboard aren’t I? Can you tell I’m hungry? ;)

My friend Erica and I made these nutella bites a few years ago while we were doing our annual holiday baking….I’ve thought of them often since….I’ll need to make them again!

I was kind of surprised at the half marathon walk as well…

I don’t remember his name, but I have a weakness for the fat old men… I sure hope the new guy that came back last night stays for awhile

I liked Sunshine on the yellow team on the first episode, so I was glad they got to come back and be on the show. I hope she loses a ton of weight so she can get a date.

Those won ton bites sound yummy – I don’t blame you for burning your mouth…it would be hard to wait!

I don’t get HOW Miggy could do that much walking the day after her surgery. I had my gallbladder removed and was told to rest for a few days…not sure that was the best thing for her to do.

I can’t wait for the red team to go home – just don’t like them. Still rooting for the orange boy!
