Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!

February 7th, 2010 · 6 Comments

I hope everyone is getting ready for some good eats today!! I can’t wait to see what everyone is making.

We’re actually going to my Mother-in-Laws house for her 86th birthday!!!

I am bringing my grape jelly/chili meatballs which are always a great hit!

1 bag of frozen turkey meatballs (about 40)
1 12 oz. jar of heinz chili sauce
1/2 a 32 oz. jar of grape jelly

In a crock pot, or big stock pot, add the grape jelly and chili sauce and cook for about 10 minutes so the jelly will melt and meld with the chili sauce. Add the meatballs frozen or unfrozen and cook until the meatballs are fully cooked. (I’ve cooked them in 4 hours on low in my crock pot. Or cook them for about an hour on low.

Have a SUPER DAY!!!!

Oh man I LOVE those grape jelly meatballs. People always bring a plate to share for her piano recital receptions and one woman always brought these in a crock pot. One year my mom asked for the recipe and we couldn’t believe it!

I have had those meatballs, or at least some like them, before. Let’s just say it is best for me to avoid them. :-) Have a good night.
