Day 10
2011
It was a busy day yesterday, I worked all day then had my daughter’s softball game right after work, so I didn’t get home until 8:30 last night. BUT, I managed to make a super quick and healthy dinner in about 15 minutes!
All I did was put about 4 russet potatoes into the microwave and cook until almost done. Meanwhile, I chopped up chicken breasts so they would cook faster, put that in a skillet with a little olive oil, salt, pepper and paprika. I had Trader Joe’s green beans, so I cooked those. Once the potatoes are done, I sliced them into circles and added that to the chicken. Served that over the green beans. Filling and delish!
Since I was so busy all day, my daughter called me at work to ask about her game. When I told her I was going to meet her there from work, the first thing she said to me was “what are you going to do for exercise?” (she’s trying to keep me accountable!
. I told her my plan was to walk during lunch and even though I debated just surfing the net during my lunch, I knew I had to keep to the plan.
I’m so glad I walked, it was a gorgeous day out yesterday and I walked as fast as I could for 40 minutes and of course I was happy that I did that once I got back.
I decided to find a chart where I could mark off my 100 days of exercise. This is the one I chose:
So now I have that in my food journal to mark off the days. So far so good!
I saw a t-shirt that keeps sticking in my mind, which I love:
It’s not going to be luck that will get me to my weight loss goals, it’s going to be me making it that way!
If you didn’t get a chance to read all the participants in my twin sister’s 101 days of summer, check out all of them HERE. It’s a big group all working towards a common goal – get healthy and fit!
Gotta run, it’s salad club at work today so I am off to cut up some veggies for that!
It’s a great day again out, so I’m riding my bike to work. Have a super day!!!

You’re absolutely right – making healthy decisions is a lifestyle and a CHOICE. It’s not a diet, or a fad.
